About Eleni
You are here because you either want to find out more about the company
or you got lost navigating the site. Either way, this is the page that
we get to talk a bit about our company, so please stick around….
The company is owned and operated by Helena Brearley and is named after her grandmother, who was a seamstress at one of those chichi boutiques on Newbury Street in Boston. In addition to being fortunate enough to learn how to sew from her, Helena was lucky enough to be exposed to some beautiful fabrics of various textures and colors. She found herself drawn to those pieces of material and can recall going through her grandmother's bags of scraps to piece together a skirt or top by pinning it into her dress form. Although she never wore the garments she fashioned, just being able to be creative was a wonderful feeling.
Wanting to bring that feeling to others, Helena decided to start Eleni after finishing school. With the blessing and support of her husband and family she jumped into the business and hasn't looked back since.
The approach is simple; we use and supply the highest quality fabrics and hardware available and our loyal customers supply their creativity. The outcome of the two is something we know you'll just love. When you purchase an Eleni bag, know that it is an extension of you, it can be who you are or who you want to be…Enjoy!
